The College Campus

The College Campus
The new, sprawling, and expansive campus of Netanya Academic College, situated in Netanya's Yitzhak Rabin neighborhood (1 University Street), is covered with manicured lawns and beautifully sculptured shrubbery statues, offering students a quiet place to read or conduct discussions. The beautiful Sergeants' Forest adjoins the campus on its north and west perimeter. Together, the campus and forest span an enormous area of 430,000 square meters.
Over the next decade, the College campus is scheduled to quadruple in size, from 350,000 to 900,000 square feet, containing an array of research and teaching facilities and extending to incorporate parks and dormitories.
The College campus complex is centered around two main buildings - the first constructed in 1995 and the second in 1998, separated by spacious grass fields. The buildings consist of expansive hallways connecting 50 lecture halls, six modern computer laboratories, including the Motorola and El-Op laboratory for computer engineering, and including a 350-seat auditorium, a 1,000-seat outdoor covered amphitheater, three new lecture halls designed to seat about 200 students each and some one hundred offices. In addition, the campus contains a large, fully-equipped, and well-lit library, open most hours and currently consisting of study halls, dozens of computer stations and hundreds of seat. The library has just recently doubled in size, and the library collection holds more than 80,000 books and journals, as well as extensive computer resources, including such important legal data banks as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and HeinOnline, as well as over 10,000 e-journals, which is being expanded to double its present size.
The campus also offers advanced media access - ultra-modern radio and television broadcast studios, utilizing the most advanced and sophisticated equipment available to higher education institutions in Israel. The campus also has its very own radio station - “Voice of Netanya”, broadcasting on 106FM. Other facilities include: Editing rooms; a business transactions laboratory equipped for conducting business and financial dealings; large, comfortable, and separate kosher milk and meat cafeterias; a sizeable book store; a performance area for 3,000 people; a sports center containing tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts as well as a soccer field, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, saunas, and cafeteria; new dormitory facilities opened in the 2010-2011 academic year; and a 1,000-car parking lot will make sure everyone can find a parking space. The sophisticated computer facilities, equipped with hundreds of stations across the campus, provide campus-wide wireless broadband Internet access, so our students are always connected.
