The The School of Communication of the Netanya Academic College opened its doors in the academic year of 2000. The  Dean of the School is Dr. Motti Neiger, who is a prominent scholar in the areas of collective memory, journalism during conflicts and  popular culture, and has an established experience as the president of the Israel Communication Association (2006-2009), the founding editor of "Media Frames: Israeli Journal of Communication", and as the Head of the Ministry of Education curriculum committee (Communication & Technology). 
Communication studies are designed to give students interdisciplinary training in Communication, allowing them to acquire analytical skills that will assist them in analyzing the different communication processes in the media. Students have access to radio and television studios owning some of the most sophisticated and advanced equipment available to students of institutions of higher education. The radio station "Voice of Netanya" (106 FM) is run by Netanya Academic College Communications students and broadcasts to residents of Netanya and the Sharon region. The program is exclusive to its specialization, promoting both academic and professional excellence as well as including lectures by the best Communications lecturers in the country.
The academic staff is also involved with directing new research, which ensures students will be exposed to a broad spectrum of Communication research - both Israeli based and foreign.
