About the center

The Center for Banking Finance Law and Regulation is a multidisciplinary academic center dealing with banking and finance. The center was established in 2004 under the name "Center for Banking Law", with the aim of focusing on the legal aspects of the banking world. Special emphasis was given to the issue of Consumer Financial Protection.

Over the years, with the expansion of financial activity on the part of both banking corporations and non-banking entities, the Center’s areas of activity expanded accordingly. The increase in regulation in the field of banking and finance has led the center to also address the aspects of regulation and supervision and to deepen the discussion on policy issues. The Center for Banking Finance Law and Regulation deals with all of these.

The Center for Banking Finance Law and Regulation encourages collaborations between the scientific community, the financial industry, regulators, and policymakers. The Center is a forum in which people from the field on the one hand, and academics on the other, discuss current legal and regulatory problems in the world of banking and finance in order to offer feasible solutions.

The center serves as a platform for presenting research and projects in the field, combining academic excellence with practical application to create a topical discourse on legal issues of vital importance to both the banking and financial community as well as the general public.
