The Insurance School at Netanya Academic College is the only institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education authorized to award a B.A. degree in insurance. Academic insurance studies enable young people to enter the finance and capital market field, which is in dire need of high-level professional forces.

The field of Insurance also refers to issues of planning and risk management of public and private businesses, which affect nearly every person and every business in the country, from car and apartment insurance to complex issues including business risk insurance, marine insurance, liability insurance, money management, market management, capital, long-term savings and more. Insurance and finance professionals deal with a wide range of issues and areas of managerial knowledge in order to assist and advise both private clients and managers of commercial entities.

The training required today in the field of insurance includes familiarity with an extensive system of laws, economics, finance, investment, actuary and pension, along with a high level of skills in human behavior and organizational behavior. The Insurance School at Netanya Academic College collaborates with major Israeli insurance companies and the capital market as part of an "excellence programt", through which outstanding students are integrated into work in insurance companies towards the end of their studies.

The school is at the forefront of current professional practices and holds a trading room workshop and employment conferences during which students are exposed to teaching methods, existing trading methods on the Israeli stock exchange, and selected stock exchanges around the world. These also help students receive an in-depth knowledge into the types of securities traded on the various stock exchanges while managing complex investment portfolios in a changing market environment. The course constitutes an academic and professional infrastructure for investment management and consulting, with an emphasis on preparing students to work in the field as a licensee in the future. Students at the School of Insurance learn to build methods for managing both financial and pension investments, to emphasize issuer risks, linkage bases, currency exposure, and many principles relevant to the field.

The school holds quarterly conferences and seminars in collaboration with leading companies in the field of insurance, the capital market and investment houses. In addition, an employment conference is held once a year to connect students to future employers.

Upon completion of their studies, graduates will have attained an extensive financial and managerial knowledge in the areas of insurance, taxes and the capital market.
